shapewearMy informal test of the
Sqeem reducing waist cinching vest
I loved this
cincher as soon as I put
it on. It flattened out my huge gut. Smoothed my back fat. Made my back
feel great! Improved my posture. Even after 12 hours into the day, when
I’m usually slouching! Yes their claims are true for me. I looked and
felt better upon putting it on.
I went with the waist cinching vest. I am full busted and need all the
extra support I can get. The posture assistance this vest provides makes
my bust look firmer than it would. Especially after 3pm. That’s when I
normally begin to slouch.
And unlike other waist cinchers I’ve tried, and sent back, NO POKING!!
After wearing this waist cincher 30 days:
Started with a 37" waist and 44" gut
Now have a 36" waist and 41" gut
size 16 jeans falling off me at start
brought a size 14
now size 14 jeans are falling off me
Ate about the same. More actually, as it has been cold. Actually started
putting refried beans on my 2 heavy bean and cheese breakfast nachos. It
works for me and I’m sticking to it. Fits in a toaster oven too!
Exercised about the same. Ice Skating about 2.5 hours a week.
Wore this waist cinching vest 30 days. For what turns out to average
12.29 hours a day. Some times as little as 8 hours. At times 15 hours.
Usually 12+ hours. It’s just how my days run.
I don’t usually weight myself. So I did not. So as for weight lost or
not, clueless.
Most of the reviews for this style of waist cincher are in their high
compression and firm compression waist cincher. At present there is none
for the cincing vest I wear. Many of the reviewers say they had to buy
one a size smaller after a month.
Mine still fits snugly. And I have not started using the tighter row of
hook and eyes yet! Update on this aspect: 12/22nd, the next day after I
wrote this. Quite by accident. I was not paying attention to what I was
doing and did up the tighter row of hook and eyes of this cincher. Also
found it was not as tight as when I first got this shaper. I guess this
means a size smaller is next after all. Well I'm not going to complain
about that! Even if they are kind of pricy. And
I’m pretty cheap. In fact I will not spring for size 12 jeans now. I’ll
likely just tuck in more shirts and cram more stuff into my back
pockets.
My waist cincher in extra large. These cinchers are hosiery sized. I am
usually about 165 pounds, at 5 feet and 11/2 inches. Usually I have a 38
inch waist. But the day I did the pre-measure for my informal test is
was 37 inches. The whole reason I found out about these shapers was a
search to find out how to size waist cinchers. This is the only company
I found that gave realistic sizing info. They even have a toll free
number, (800-761-6870), to call for further sizing info. But you can read about that
on this page if you like.
This shaper made me feel like exercising as soon as I started wearing
it. For me it’s the posture thing. I felt more confident even during my,
strictly playful, ice skating. Made me feel like doing grand plies. That
is the ballet version of knee bends. Helps to have excellent posture to
do that. Almost impossible to start with perfect posture when you are as
out of shape as I am.
Now that the test is over I will likely add exercise. And with a nod to
the fact that I turned 47 last month. And that my father, who I closely
physically resemble, had his first heart attack at age 56. Neither one
of us managed to keep our gall bladders beyond the age of 35. I will try
adding more vegetables to my diet. Lunch and supper that is.
This waist cincher will be a great help in the exercise department. They
even make one that is to wear during exercise. Their high compression
waist cincher. Not a vest, just a waist cincher. I’ll likely be trying
that one next.
